Do you know your boobies?

It is cancer month again and I am truly excited about it. cancer is a huge burden not just on the person who has cancer but on their families and society at large. cancers are a huge problem but it is a wonder and a huge pity that people don't know much about it nor do they take any preventive measure where necessary if the need be. there are a million and one different types of cancers and almost any cell in the body or organ can develop cancerous cells............the most common ones are breast, cervical, ovarian and prostate...........breast cancer is not a woman thing alone like many people think 1% of cases have occurred in men.
Many organizations have put awareness out there concerning cancers as a whole and even offer free screening tests for people who will only volunteer......cervical and ovarian cancers occur in women only since they alone have been blessed with a cervix and an ovary.. cervical cancer is vaccine preventable...prostate cancer occurs in men alone I can remember my surgery lecturer say 'all men will have cancer of the prostate if they live long enough so when you are 60years and over yank it off.' that's on a lighter note..
All I am saying is we need to be aware and we need to be friendly and aware of our body parts so that whenever there is a deviation you need to call for health.....
Just like the poster I saw about breast cancer awareness reads..........'know your boobies'.
If you are a woman and you are sexually active please ensure you get a pap smear done......every woman from age of 21 should ensure she does a breast self examination monthly at the same time every month to ensure you are familiar with your breast and notice any changes then you can go to hospital to get screened and treated properly.
Every man should ensure they screen for prostate cancer from the age of 50 to avoid complications and the disease itself.
I am not taking time to talk so much about these cancers now I would do that subsequently so please people...stay healthy, stay safe..............life is difficult enough and preventable non communicable diseases should be avoided so as not to compound situation.
